CNMI Small Business Development Center Network

Are you a licensed business owner? Do you have a product ready to export? The Department of Commerce and the CNMI Small Business Network is pleased to present "WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU'RE EXPORTING" .

In this session, participants will: 

• Learn basic exporting knowledge to grow your business;
• Receive first hand tips to save time, money and headaches when exporting;
• Discover exporting resources for small businesses in our region;
• Schedule a FREE 1:1 consultation with our guest speaker (Feb. 18) 

We are pleased to invite Director of Southeast Asia Global Risk Mitigation, Mr. Chuck Lopez, MBA as our official guest speaker. Chuck Lopez has 18 years of exporting experience. He has set up financial service offices in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand and helped launch an international credit union specifically for apparel manufacturers. 

The event is slated for Friday, February 17, 2023 from 10am-4pm at Azucena, Crowne Plaza Hotel. This event comes to you at NO COST but seating is limited to 50 registrants. Pre-registration is required here: https://marianas.ecenterdirect.com/events/1019117. Licensed business owners and individuals with export ready products will be prioritized.

The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center and the CNMI Small Business Development Center Network present FEDERAL CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES. In this training, participants will learn how to register in SAM, how to attain your hubzone certificate, how to become a certified woman-owned business, and other important information that will prepare your business to compete for federal contracts in the CNMI.

This year's SEED to Sail event was done in collaboration with the University of Guam's Masters in Public Administration Program – CNMI graduating Class of 2023 at the Grandvrio Resort on Friday, Oct. 14. SEED to Sail is a guided experience for start-up and early-stage businesses to create and present a pitch to support their application to receive “seed money” to fund their small business venture. Participants will receive one-on-one counseling through the CNMI SBDC Network, build a viable business plan, and network with other small business owners and entrepreneurs in the community.
