Students who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing can apply to become part of the Northern Marianas College Nursing Department’s newest cohort in the Fall 2025 semester. Those who meet the program’s requirements can submit their application beginning Monday, May 5 to Thursday, June 5, 2025.

To strengthen local pork production and address ongoing challenges in the industry, Kumoi Farms has received a Farmer/Rancher Grant from the Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (Western SARE) program. This funding will support an innovative research and outreach project aimed at improving swine production across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

Northern Marianas College School of Business student Richard Baleares has been named a 2025 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar by the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society. He will receive a $2,250 scholarship in recognition of his achievement. Baleares was selected based on his outstanding score in the highly competitive All-USA Academic Team competition, which received over 2,200 applications this year.

Maxine Alexandra Rabago, a nursing student at Northern Marianas College, received a $1,000 scholarship and was named one of the recipients of the Pacific Region Scholarship by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society.
