Nine students from the Northern Marianas College have announced their intent to pursue student government positions as officers of the Associated Students of NMC or ASNMC.
ASNMC is a student-driven governance body at the College. Its executive cabinet comprises four students who are elected at large by the student body and serve a one-year term in office.
The positions are the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, three senators.
The candidates for this year’s student leadership elections are:

“It is great to see that more and more students are wanting to become a part of NMC’s governance process,” NMC President Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD said. “Student leaders play an important role in advocating for students and making sure their voices are heard in major decision making processes.”
The student elections at NMC started on August 29 and will end on August 31. All voting will be held online through Google Forms.
