As part of its commitment to supporting education in the CNMI, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters is sponsoring a $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize at the Northern Marianas College Foundation’s upcoming Golf Open on March 22 and 23, 2025, on top of $1,000 in Education Tax Credit (ETC).

"Our donation to this golf tournament with a worthy cause to support our lone post-secondary institution in the CNMI not only reflects our commitment to higher education but also to the PROA family as they continue in their endeavor to pursue this massive undertaking - that is A New NMC,” said Pacifica Insurance President and CEO Shirley Sablan.

She added, “Having personally taken up golf four years ago, I find the game to be a great way to help celebrate milestones such as NMC Foundation’s 20th Year Anniversary, build relationships, and develop personal player skills and discipline. Good luck to all golfers and I wish you all the eagles, birdies, pars, and a hole-in-one with a cash prize of $10,000 from yours truly, Pacifica Insurance! Rest assured."

NMC’s tournament will be a two-day event and the tournament fee for the 2025 Golf Open is $250.

“On behalf of NMC's Foundation, we're truly grateful to Pacifica Insurance for their commitment to lasting impact in higher education,” said Ben Babauta, Chairperson of the NMC Foundation.

The tournament, which is also the signature event of the NMC Foundation, aims to raise funds to build and equip modern, innovative campus facilities that will help expand the CNMI’s workforce development efforts, stimulate economic growth, and provide access to quality education for the residents of the CNMI.

Like previous tournaments, this year’s event will feature thousands of dollars in incredible prizes, including a 2024 Lexus RX350 from Atkins Kroll Saipan, a 2025 Nissan Kicks from Joeten Motors, a 2025 Hyundai Venue from Triple J Motors, a $20,000 Cash Prize from Ambyth Shipping and Seafix, a $10,000 Shopping Spree from Top Shelf Wine and Spirits, a $10,000 Cash Prize from Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, a $10,000 Cash Prize from TurnKey Solutions, and a $3,000 Cash Prize from McDonald’s of Saipan.
