Registration is open and ongoing for NMC’s Fall 2024 semester for anyone interested in earning a degree and advancing their careers, knowledge, and skills with NMC. The semester begins on August 19, 2024. 

Applications for admission and other forms may be filled out and submitted online at https://www.marianas.edu/discovernmc. Hard copy applications may be picked up at NMC’s Office of Admissions and Records located in Building N at the NMC As Terlaje campus. 

Supporting documents (i.e. health evaluation form with a valid TB Skin Test and copy of a valid photo I.D.) must be turned in together with the Admissions Application through the Admissions App Portal at www.marianas.edu/apply. The deadline for completing the admissions application is on Friday, August 9, 2024.

New students must take the NMC Math and English Placement test if they do not meet any eligible placement alternatives. Placement testing is only available via appointment. To make an appointment, register online at https://forms.gle/21WvMVa2iCiz4jdi7. If a student has attended Start Smart or any NMC Info Session within the year, they can avail a fee waiver by providing their completed passport to the testing center staff. Individuals who need financial aid can also apply for scholarships such as the Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance (SHEFA), which provides financial assistance to those who meet certain eligibility criteria. The deadline for SHEFA is September 30, 2024. 

Individuals can also apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov/fafsa. By filling out the FAFSA form, students can receive up to $7,395 in federal financial aid for the 2024-25 award year. 

Students and parents who need assistance with completing the FAFSA are invited to register for Northern Marianas College’s final Free FAFSA Workshop on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at NMC’s Olympio T. Borja Memorial Library. Incentives will be given out to those who successfully complete their FAFSA forms. Students, parents, and others who plan to attend the workshop must register here: https://bit.ly/4eUJRqn. 

The free FAFSA workshop on Saturday will have a session for students from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a session for parents from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Education (Concentration in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Rehabilitation and Human Services, or Special Education), Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Concentration in Accounting or without Concentration); Associate of Arts in Business, Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration (Emphasis in Accounting, Business Management, or Computer Applications), Associate of Applied Science in Hospitality Management, Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts (Emphasis in Education, Kinesiology, Pre-Engineering, Social Work, or without Emphasis), Associate of Science in Nursing, Associate of Science in Agriculture, Associate of Science in Natural Resource Management, Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, and Associate of Science in Fire Science Technology. The certificate programs at NMC include Basic Law Enforcement, Business Management, Computer Applications, Early Childhood Education, Fire Science Technology, Hospitality Operations, Nursing Assistant, and Small Business Management.
